What happened after the principal saw them on the roof?
They all barely made it back to the rooms they were supposed to be in,
except the keys got dropped. The principal found the keys, and was
threatening 3 more weeks of detention unless whoever took the keys admitted
it. Toby took the blame for taking the keys, and he let them go home. The
ending questioned whether friendships made on Saturday would still be there
on Monday.

what happened with the girl with the cuts on her arm and the tape?
Sean destroyed one tape, but then on Monday morning at the end of the show,
Ellie hands Sean another tape and said something like "This is the one you
should've destroyed", presumably indicating that she's not going to turn him
in, and valuing his friendship more. Here's what it says about the episode
on the Degrassi website:

In Episode 316: Take On Me, Ellie finds herself in Mr. Raditch's Saturday
detention club. But, unlike Jimmy, Toby, Hazel, and Sean, she wants to be
there. Her mission - to infiltrate the detention group to try to find out
more about why things are being stolen from school, and who is behind it.
What better way to get her prime suspect, Sean, talking than to spend some
quality time with him in detention? Ellie comes prepared with a tape
recorder to collect evidence, and when Sean admits to stealing things at
Degrassi, Ellie has all the proof she needs.

If only it were that easy! As it turns out, Ellie and Sean discover that
they actually have a lot in common. Ellie isn't intimidated by Sean's
tough-guy act, while Sean isn't freaked out by Ellie's admission that she
had been cutting herself. They soon discover a deep connection, which is
thrown into jeopardy when Sean finds out that Ellie has been taping their
conversations. Sean feels betrayed, but when Ellie promises to destroy the
evidence, he forgives her.

What do you think? Should Ellie have revealed Sean's secret?

Thumbs Up: Ellie should stay away from Sean and tell everyone that he is the
one who has been stealing from the school. Just because they "get" each
other doesn't mean she should protect him from the punishment he deserves.

Thumbs Down: Ellie made the right choice in deciding to keep Sean's stealing
a secret. If she wants him to stop, she will be more effective as his close
friend than as his enemy. Plus, it could be worth it if they are meant to be
together.
